Pay: $70k - $85k

Robotics Field Service Manager

At ViaBot, we pride ourselves in being the first autonomous property management solution for commercial properties. We are looking to bring onto our team a Robotics Field Service Manager who will work 2pm - 10pm on their regular schedule, 5 days a week. Our ideal team member will learn about the inner workings of the robot, how to service and maintain it, and create and adhere to deadlines and schedules. Some out of state travel is expected and will be required.

Responsibilities:

Management

  • Manage maintenance team by creating schedules and deadlines for maintenance and repairs

Maintenance

  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Independently prioritize and schedule repairs for multiple robots in a fast paced environment
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with our technical team when they arise
  • Use power and hand tools to service robots. Tools include but are not limited to: allen wrenches, hand drills, dremels, multimeters, angle grinder, etc
  • Create records of troubleshooting and repair work using internal reporting tools

Travel

  • 10-40% traveling to out-of-state sites
  • 30% traveling to local Bay Area sites
  • Travel (driving or flying out) on short notice to local and out of state robot deployment locations for maintenance and repairs

Shipping/Receiving

  • Handle shipping and receiving of robots and/or parts for maintenance and repair
  • Track, maintain, and organize inventory

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage of team of strong minded individuals and adhere to deadlines
  • Must be able to work alone or with a small team, and with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to multi-task with a high sense of urgency
  • Must have good communication (oral and written)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to travel domestically on short notice
  • Must have work authorization in the United States
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must have experience working with hand/power tools
  • Not a remote position
  • Fluency in English

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience with building and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems

  • Hours are flexible and depend on the type of repairs and work needed. We ask that the employee come in at 2pm M-F. Some days you will need to come in earlier or stay late depending on the needs of the company
