We seek a highly skilled and experienced robotic software engineer to join our team at Canvas.

Who You Are:

  • Based in San Francisco (or commutable distance)
  • Fluent in C++
  • Experience with ROS2
  • Experience with modern computer vision techniques and perception frameworks
  • Experience with programming and algorithm design
  • Experience working on the complete lifecycle from prototyping to testing to production
  • Handling large datasets efficiently
  • Experience with 3D data (stereo cameras, pointclouds, etc.)
  • Passionate about robotics, software design and perception
  • Minimum 5 years experience in software development

Safety at Canvas Construction is a top priority. We are committed to providing safe working conditions for all our employees. While not all employees are out in the field, we know how important it is to provide proper training, protocols and PPE to all employees. Upon hire all employees are provided with steel-toe boots and safety training in their professional settings. Additionally, employees are also expected to employ best practices to maintain safety and ensure that their workspaces are clear of potential dangers.
This role operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers and monitors. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some ability to move laptops, open cabinets and bend or stand as necessary is required.

Pay Transparency
See the base annual salary range for this position, in the selected city, below. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location, and market conditions. Base pay is one part of the total compensation that is provided to recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and stock options.

Base Annual Salary Range
$140,000$200,000 USD
