About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Test Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. You will be responsible for operating and testing new and existing autonomous vehicle systems through the entire product lifecycle. You will coordinate with hardware and software teams to address new product issues and provide feedback for design improvements. This role will be based at our South San Francisco headquarters. Additional test activities may occur in the field or at partner sites. The candidate must have a clean driving record and comfort pulling trailers.
What You'll Do
- Execute test plans, regular regression tests, and other requested exercises
- Develop and maintain test site infrastructure and a fleet of autonomous vehicles
- Maintain datasets on product performance, reliability, and maintenance
- Identify product issues by operating with a critical eye and knowledge of our systems
- Capture bugs and document reproduction scenarios
- Support customer trials, collect feedback and resolve any technical issues
- Work with developers to troubleshoot issues and tune new features
- Travel up to 25%
What You'll Bring
- Experience with agriculture, land maintenance, and heavy machinery.
- Associate's degree and 2+ years of experience in a professional and product-driven environment, or equivalent experience
- Experience working hands-on with electrical and mechanical components
- Strong communication skills
- Curiosity to learn about new technology
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in hot and cold weather
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer with heavy equipment
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- Experience with agricultural or other heavy machinery
- Experience debugging systems during integration cycles
- Experience with issue & project tracking software (i.e. JIRA or Linear)
- An understanding of autonomous vehicle and software testing
- An understanding of networking technology
- Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner

Our interview process is generally conducted in four (4) phases:
Phone Screen with People Operations (30 minutes)
Video Interview with the Hiring Manager (45 minutes)
Panel Interview (Video interviews scheduled with key stakeholders, each interview will be 30 to 45 minutes)
Final Interviews (CEO, CFO, 30 minutes each)
75000 - 105000 USD a year
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 to $105,000 + equity + benefits + unlimited PTO
